Student Profiles

Student-Profiles-Web

A major aim of the Seafood CRC was to build capacity with our early-career scientists to ensure they had a strong and fulfilling career pathway to follow but also had the opportunities to contribute to the building of Australian expertise in variety of fields.

As a result, the CRC ’s Education and Training Program had a very strong focus on a comprehensive PhD, Masters and Honours program that had a strong industry context embedded within it and all it’s activities. This was to ensure we could maximise the number of students staying and working in the Australian seafood industry and to create graduates in a vast array of topics from genetics to fisheries policy to new product development. The CRC supported 47 PhD candidates, 16 Honours students and nine Masters by Research students in seven years with three Honours students and three Masters students going on to undertake PhDs with the CRC .

This document profiles each of our students, their projects and achievements. We are proud of all their accomplishments and how their expertise, knowledge and experiences will now benefit the Australian seafood industry.
