For more than 25 years, Tassal has been bringing delicious, fresh and healthy Tasmanian Atlantic Salmon from the pristine waters of Tasmania to your table. Today, Tassal is an Australian leader in producing Atlantic Salmon and employs more than 700 people, all of whom share their passion for this beautiful super food.

Since Tassal opened its marine sites in 1986, the company has grown from a privately-owned operation to a major public company listed on the ASX in November 2003.

Tassal is now Australia's largest Atlantic Salmon producer and marketer, harvesting more than12,000 tonnes of salmon every year - the equivalent to nearly a quarter of the weight of Sydney's Harbour Bridge and 70 per cent of Australia's entire Atlantic Salmon production.

Tassal joined the Seafood CRC as a supporting participant in 2011 and is involved in some exciting research projects to develop and grow the salmon farming industry in Australia.
